Dr. Driscoll is Professor and Chair Emeritus, Department of Otolaryngology; Professor, Department of Neurosurgery; Interim Chair, Department of Clinical Genomics; and Interim Chair, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic. He earned his medical degree from the University of New Mexico, and he completed ENT residency at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, and Neurotology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. In 1999, he joined the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. His practice involves the evaluation and management of diverse ear and skull base pathologies. He has a special interest in skull base tumors and implantable devices such as cochlear implants. He is active in clinical research and collaborates extensively with neurosurgery, radiology, pathology, genetics, and audiology. He is involved in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students. He has held numerous leadership positions in professional organizations and within Mayo Clinic.
