Dr. Maura Cosetti is the director of the Ear Institute of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary (NYEE) of Mount Sinai and the Cochlear Implant Program at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York. She is board certified in Otology-Neurotology and completed her neurotology fellowship at NYU.Dr. Cosettiā€™s research focuses on outcomes and the use of virtual reality to understand how hearing loss affects posture, falls and balance. She receives funding from the NIH and the Hearing Health Foundation (HHF).Dr. Cosetti helms the Otology-Neurotology Fellowship Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She Co-chairs the William House Cochlear Implant Study Group and leads the Otology Neurotology Education Committee for the American Academy of Head and Neck Surgery, directing hearing and balance educational content for 12,000 otolaryngology providers nationwide. Additionally, she has authored more than 100 articles and textbook chapters and has presented at national and international specialty meetings.
