This Course includes 10 weeks of online curriculum and web discussions. Each week participants watch (at their convenience) pre-recorded lectures, discuss content via a monitored discussion board, and complete a short assessment.  Case studies and practical applications are presented by distinguished researchers and clinicians in the field. Previous experience programming cochlear implants will maximize the gain from this course.  A certificate of completion is awarded to those who successfully complete the training program.

This course was designed to address issues confronting some audiologists outside of the United States who wish to access ICIT cochlear implant training:

  • Time zone difficulties: Time differences of 5 to 14 hours may create hardship for international participants.  These are eliminated by making all lectures and web classes available online at any time during the Module week.
  • Travel expense:  No travel is required for this didactic-only course.  (No hands-on practicum for this course)
  • Tuition reduction: Tuition is reduced by 22% of the AAC course.

Participant Reviews

Best Cochlear Implant course I have ever taken! So much useful clinical information packed into a short 10 week period. I honestly have learned so much and will share this information with my 3rd-year Audiology students in the Fall. I will definitely be applying what I have learned clinically and will be recommending this course to my colleagues.
